Fabio
Cavallucci Towards the immaterial
[
] The most noteworthy achievement on Tuscia
Electa's behalf, is certainly the actuation of Mario
Merz's project. The stuffed deer that belonged to
the 1997 edition of the show followed by neon "Fibonacci"
has now been cast in aluminium and proudly stands
up above the ancient city walls of San Casciano ready
to challenge the impetuous winds and centuries to
come. [...] Tuscia Electa intends to suggest possibile
proposals for aesthetic experiments. Only once the
work exhibited is received with apposite approval
by the public shall we be able to move from temporary
to permanent installations. And this is what happened
in Merz'case, his inventive talent, his courage in
accepting the challenge of being faced with archaic
aesthetic systems in a place that coul not offer the
cultural background able to readily accept his work
that a museum environment would have, make of his
accomplishment a true victory.
